Definitions

“Oso” means Oso Simple Technologies, Inc.

The resources, services, products, websites, and tools in which Oso provides are hereafter referred to as “resources”.

By using Oso resources, you are in agreement with and accept the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service of Oso.

How Oso Collects Data

Oso collects data from website visitors through cookies, analytic data such as browser type, IP, visit length, and referral URL, and non-personally identifiable data when you use Oso resources.

Oso collects data through information that you provide during account creation such as email, password, and other voluntary information such as location and SMS numbers. Payment details are collected when purchasing Oso products and/or resources.

Oso sells hardware that function as data collection devices, such as PlantLink, which collects soil moisture data. This data is non-personally identifiable.

How Oso Uses Data

Oso uses the data it collects in order to improve, troubleshoot, and enhance user experience. Email addresses are used for unique logins, notifications, and general correspondence with Oso.

Oso reserves the right to exclude personally identifiable information in the data and disclose the data to third parties at Oso’s discretion.

How Data Is Secured

Oso’s Application Programming Interface (API) and websites use Secured Socket Layer (SSL) encryption. Oso’s unique hardware identifiers are hashed with a key known only to the API. Secure third-party servers store data collected by Oso’s resources, hardware, and websites.

How Oso Shares Data

At some point, Oso may have a third-party process or analyze some of the data Oso has collected. Eventually, Oso may share data with entities and persons who are actively doing business with Oso.

In order to meet applicable laws, regulations, legal processes, or enforceable governmental requests, Oso reserves the right to share access, read, preserve, and disclose any data with companies, organizations or individuals outside of Oso. Oso will also share data with other parties in order to enforce applicable Terms of Service and to protect against the harm to the rights, property or safety of the public, Oso’s users, or Oso as permitted by law. Oso will also share data with other parties in order to prevent or address fraud, technical issues, or security.

If a merger or acquisition of Oso were to occur, that company will possess all of the data collected by Oso while adhering to this Privacy Policy. If this were to occur, you will be notified via email with proper notice that your personal data is being moved.

Oso may share aggregated or non-personally identifiable data publically.
